Sending Artwork ?
Artwork Requirements:
Electronic Art should be uploaded using our Artwork (uploader) Exchange or e-mailed to Artwork@MiniSportsBalls.com.
If you designate that you are using your own artwork at the end of check-out you will be direct to our Artwork Exchange to upload your artwork files. File compression (zip or stuff-it) is recommended for emailed files.
We highly suggest submitting your artwork as vector files with all text converted to outlines (vector curves). Vector artwork is required for multi-color imprint orders. When vector art is unable send, a resolution of at least 600dpi (Black & White or Bitmap images) is suggested for all JPGs, BMPs and TIFFs files (non-vector formats). Your email must include, your name, company or school name, complete address and phone number(s) along with the product ordering, quantity, product and imprint colors. If artwork is e-mailed, please fax a hard copy (print-out) to 813-972-1461.
Below are the acceptable file formats for electronic artwork:
.AI or .EPS (Adobe® Illustrator® version 13 (CS3) or below):
All text must be converted to outlines. Artwork sent as an illustrator file, must be created in, not imported/placed into illustrator.
.CDR (CorelDRAW® version 10 or below):
Convert all text to curves. If you use CorelDRAW X3, save your files down to CorelDRAW 10 format or export as an Adobe Illustrator .AI file. To save a file down to CorelDRAW 10 format, choose File > Save As and then choose Version 10.0 from the Version pop-up menu. Click Save.
GIFs, JPGs, or JPEGs:
These are web graphic images are do not reproduce well; they are not considered camera-ready artwork.
.PDF (Portable Document Format, Adobe Acrobat)
.PSD (Adobe Photoshop®):
Minimum 600 dpi, saved as Black & White (Bitmap) or layered images. Do not save as RGB, CMYK or grayscale.
.TIF, .TIFF, .BMP, .PCX, or Scanned Artwork:
We recommended saving or scanning artwork at least 600 dpi Black & White or Bitmap images. Do not save as RGB, CMYK or grayscale.
Quark XPress® or Adobe InDesign/PageMaker®:
Please include any embedded files such as TIF, TIFF or EPS with your resident document as well as all font files.
MS Word® Documents and MS PowerPoint® Documents:
.doc, .docx, .ppt files can only be accepted as an illustration of the imprint. We can not accept logos that have been copy and paste into MS Word or PowerPoint. Please send the original graphic file along with your Word document. Please include a list of the fonts used in your Word or PowerPoint files.
.WMF (Windows Metafile)
We can accept files from most vector drawing programs, as long as you, export your file as a generic EPS (Encapsulated PostScript) with all text converted to outline/curves.
Note: Artwork created in another program and merely saved as one of these file extensions does not guarantee acceptable artwork [e.g. a JPEG saved in Illustrator® as an ".ai" file does not make it a vector file].
Facts about Artwork:
All artwork is to be supplied at the highest resolution possible. A minimum resolution of 600 dpi is recommended. Faxed artwork is not acceptable. Bad artwork with jagged lines, poor line width and definition will not reproduce any better than actual artwork. Four color process and RGB art/files are not acceptable. All images submitted are printed as is unless otherwise specified. It is your responsibility to have all images proofed and adjusted to your satisfaction before submission.
HALFTONES: Halftones are reproduced on a 55-line screen at 100% with 25%-75% shading. Anything above 75% shading will appear solid - anything below 25% will not reproduce. Halftones must be within 10% of actual reproduction size.
Custom Art Charges: Custom Logo Designs or Clean-Up Charges will be quoted per job with customer approval.
Color Match or PMS (Pantone Matching System): Exact color match is not available. Colors will be produced within a few shades of color. Inks reproduce differently on different colors of plastic and vinyl and ink colors may appear darker than they actually are. You may want to use a color a few shades lighter to produce the desired effect.
